This is a terrific series of mini-interviews on Tommy Dean’s blog. If you haven’t seen it, have a look around. Lots of interesting interviews with great writers. Thanks, Tommy, for having me.

SOOOO validated hearing you say it all starts with character. It always has for me, too. Couldn’t pull a plot out of my… if my life depended on it. Plot is what is discovered and the wonderful surprise that makes this crazy thing we do fun. Can’t wait to hang with you this summer!!
Love what you say here, Jayne: “plot is what is discovered.” I couldn’t agree more! And oh, the retreat in Breckenridge can’t happen soon enough. Really looking forward to it! xo
