ASYNCHRONOUS WEEKEND WORKSHOPS: These are held on a private WordPress site. Writers from various time zones around the world participate, so there is no set “meeting time” and no live aspect to the class. Rather you are encouraged to work on your own schedule. Expect to spend 1-2 hours per day on the exercises. Reading classmates’ work and giving feedback is optional. My classes involve positive feedback only. The idea is to generate lots of new material in a fun, supportive learning environment!
Weekend Flash Immersion Lab©: A popular workshop, this weekend intensive will have us drawing inspiration from the very best published flash fiction, poetry, and prose poetry. Prepare for an immersive weekend of creative alchemy and deep focus. You’ll write to exercises that encourage boldness of concept and execution. You’ll come away from the weekend feeling awakened and inspired, with fresh, surprising drafts in hand.
“3 in 90” LIVE WEBEX GENERATIVE WORKSHOPS
These 90 minute live Zoom session will have you writing to prompts aimed at breaking through writing blocks and innovating in the flash form. Fun and fast paced! Expect to leave the session with three new flash drafts of surprising depth and beauty.
TERMS/CANCELLATION POLICY: Payment due upon registration. Full refund for cancellation up to two weeks prior to the start of weekend workshops, after which no refunds can be given. There is no refund for cancelled live “3 in 90” workshops, but recordings will be made available to all.

I’ll be teaching a 3 hour pre-festival workshop and two 90-minute workshops at the wonderful annual Flash Fiction Festival in Bristol, England this summer!
