For the past several months, I have been writing short craft essays on flash fiction toward the goal of compiling them into a guidebook/workbook. Seeing so many writers feeling stuck or needing inspiration right now, I’ve decided to offer them in monthly installments (along with a writing prompt). I announced this on Twitter and sent out the first newsletter on January 15th.

The next newsletter, “Opening the Door” goes out February 15th. I will cover flash fiction opening sentences and paragraphs, along with an exercise for creating a compelling opening for your story.
